BiographyAspetti, who came from a Paduan family that included sculptors and bronze casters, moved to Venice in his youth to assist Girolamo Campagna, one of the best sculptors of that city. He received commissions there and in Padua and worked in both marble and bronze, producing notable figures and reliefs for the Palazzo Ducale and S. Francesco della Vigna, Venice, and S. Antonio, Padua. During his later years Aspetti settled in Tuscany, working chiefly in Pisa and Florence.
