Roger Vandercruse Lacroix(French, 1728–1799)

A highly successful ébéniste of Flemish descent, Lacroix was admitted to the cabinetmakers’ guild in 1755 and became known for his marquetry. In addition to work for the Crown, he produced furniture for the Duc d’Orléans and Madame Du Barry.
