Tower Table Clock

This ornamented double-domed clock is made of cast, pierced, and chased gilded brass. Four winged harpies support the clock and, in a simplified version, the double dome. Bare-breasted women supporting capitals decorate the corners of the case while the dials and panels are richly orna­mented with foliate designs. The front panel incorporates the face of a man, probably repre­senting the moon. The double dome is also richly decorated with pierced foliage. The finial (now missing) was likely a figure or a spire.
